Where were you born?
Mansfield, Ohio
Where did you grow up?
Colorado, with some years in Texas and Wyoming. I've been in the Denver area since 7th Grade.
Tell us about your family.
I have four grown children - Lisa, Michael, Danny, Bobby; we lost one daughter, Gina, in 2005. I also have four grown/almost grown grandchildren – Natalie, Nathan Nicholas, Joshua. my first great-grandchild will arrive in November!
Where did you go to college? What was your Degree?
Metro State, AFTER my five children were all in school. My degree is in Elementary Education.
When did you have a call to Ministry?
I have been involved in Children’s Ministry for about 35 years; Youth Ministry for about 25. My true call came in 1989. The details of my calling are AMAZING...but not brief. It came at an Up With Youth Event... imagine that!
Where have you served in Ministry?
I served at Westminster United Methodist Church, from 1971 until 1992. From July 1992 until now, I have been here at Park Hill UMC. I have also been involved in Rocky Mountain Conference Youth and Children’s Ministry since the 1980’s; with the Western Jurisdictional Youth since the 90’s.
What is your favorite part of your current position?
THE PEOPLE! The children, youth, and their families! And ALL of the Park Hill people who have loved us all for these past 16 years! Seeing our young people find the Holy Spirit, and pass it on!
What is your favorite Bible Verse, and why?
I have many...but the one I say to myself every day is Micah 6:8...‘What does the Lord require of me, but to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly...‘ It’s my favorite because it keeps me centered, and reminds me of what is most important about my day.
What is your favorite quality of God?
